The X7 range forms Argo Tractors’ large class above the MC Power6 and is designed for heavy implements and draught work. As with the other McCormick ranges, the number after the dot marks the power step within the range, so the X7.660 and X7.670 differ mainly in the tuning of the shared six-cylinder engine.

With high pulling power and large lift capacity the X7 is built for large arable farms and contractors moving heavy tillage equipment, seed drills or trailers in continuous use, putting it in direct competition with large tractors from other makers in the same power and weight class.
When buying used, check operating hours and the condition of the six-cylinder’s injection system, wear on clutch, gearbox and front linkage, the condition of the front-weight mount, tightness of the hydraulics, tyre and axle condition under heavy loads, and the cab suspension; parts run through the McCormick dealer network owned by Argo Tractors.
