The register lists 68 versions with gross weights from 1,000 to 5,000 kilograms, unladen weights from 280 to 2,860 kilograms and widths from 1.55 to 2.5 metres and lengths from 4.31 to 10.11 metres. The range spans light single-axle trailers through to long tandem and triple-axle versions for heavier loads.

Trailers of this kind cover the needs of agriculture, construction and municipal operators, where they are used to transport bulk material, machinery and building supplies. The weight-class-based type system makes it easier to pick the right model for the load at hand.

When buying used, the key checkpoints on these trailers are the condition of the load bed and side panels for rust and deformation, and on tipper versions the function of the tipping mechanism. Add to that the usual checks of the axles, overrun brake and lighting system, and comparing actual payload against the gross weight stated on the type plate.
