Massey Ferguson

The register lists 13 live models, from the MASSEY-FERGUSON (MF 135) to the Massey-Ferguson 4355-4, with build years from 1961 to 2006. Output ranges from 11 to 74 kW, weight from 1,530 to 3,760 kg, displacement from 2,500 to 3,330 cm3, across three- and four-cylinder engines.

The 2000-series models included here, such as the 2420, 2606 or 2920, come from Massey Ferguson's compact tractor programme, built from the 1990s at various plants outside Europe and aimed at small and hobby operations.

Given the mixed model origins, this series is best suited to readers looking specifically for one of the individual models listed here, rather than for a coherent model generation.

Because of the mixed model origins, parts supply also varies widely: for the classic MF 135 it is excellent through the established Massey Ferguson network, while for the overseas-built 2000-series compacts it depends on the local importer instead. When buying used, it is therefore worth first establishing the exact model and where it was built before checking clutch, gearbox and hydraulic tightness.
