MAN built tractors in Nuremberg in the 1950s under the Ackerdiesel name; the B Series listed here comprises the models B 18 A/0, B 18 A/1 and B 45 A twice, in different versions. While the smaller B 18 models ran MAN's own engines, one version used an engine sourced from Güldner. Compared with the smaller K Series, the B Series covered a wider power range for mid-sized farms.

Spanning small two-cylinders to more powerful four-cylinders, the MAN B Series covered a broader field of the Nuremberg Ackerdiesel tractors than the smaller K Series and targeted mid-sized farms. After ending its own tractor production, MAN refocused on trucks and diesel engines for other applications.
When buying these early post-war tractors used, check the condition of the engine and injection pump depending on cylinder count, the tightness of the cooling and fuel systems, the clutch and gearbox, and rust on the frame and bodywork; parts are now only obtainable through collectors and vintage-vehicle specialists. as well as the function of the generator and the simple electrical system.
