The TD-820 is powered by a water-cooled four-cylinder diesel engine of 4,000 cm³ displacement, producing 82 hp, equivalent to 60 kW, at 2,300 rpm. Gross weight is 4,185 kg, giving a power-to-weight figure of roughly 51 kg per hp. At 405 mm, ground clearance is generous for a standard tractor of this weight class. At 4,530 mm long, 2,050 mm wide, 2,810 mm high and with a wheelbase of 2,195 mm, the TD-820 is one of the larger models in its range.
The comparatively large 405 mm ground clearance favours work in row crops and on uneven ground, where components under the vehicle must not touch the soil. Combined with the strong four-cylinder engine, the TD-820 is built for medium to heavy tillage and driving larger mounted implements.
