Enclosed box trailers shield the load from weather, dust and prying eyes, and are used just as broadly: in trades for tools and materials, in courier and catering businesses for sensitive goods, and in motorsport for equipment and spares, as the RALLYE model name suggests. Compared with an open flatbed trailer, a box body also lets the load be locked up overnight and doubles as a mobile workshop or store.

When buying a used box trailer, the tightness of the body comes first: check the roof, doors and seals for signs of damp, and the plastic or aluminium panels for cracks and UV brittleness. Rust on the frame under the box floor is a typical ageing problem, and the tie-down points inside, along with the axles, brakes and lighting, need the usual checks any trailer requires. Door hinges and locks are also worth working through by hand, since stiff or corroded fittings are a common sign of age on this type of trailer.
