Landini 600 series – the 6060 (DT) TL-39 N/K: a three-cylinder diesel producing 42.7 kW with four-wheel drive and a 2,400 kg unladen weight for compact yard and field work
Landini is an Italian tractor manufacturer based in Fabbrico in the province of Reggio Emilia, now part of the Argo Tractors group. In the type designation of the 6060 (DT) TL-39 N/K, the letters "DT" stand, as they commonly do with Italian manufacturers, for "doppia trazione", meaning four-wheel drive that splits pulling force across both axles.

The 6060 (DT) TL-39 N/K is fitted with a water-cooled three-cylinder diesel engine of 2,502 cm3 displacement, producing 42.7 kW, or 58 hp, at 2,250 rpm. At an unladen weight of 2,400 kg the machine reaches a top speed of 30 km/h. A wheelbase of 2,126 mm, a width of 1,925 mm and a height of 2,370 mm on a 3,540 mm length describe a compact, manoeuvrable build suited to tight yard entrances and narrow crop rows.
A three-cylinder engine of this displacement provides enough torque for front-mounted and PTO-driven implements without sacrificing the manoeuvrability expected of a yard tractor. PTO shafts run at the standard 540 or 1,000 rpm, and the three-point linkage under ISO 730 accepts implements of the lower categories. With a built-in top speed of 30 km/h, the machine stays well below the 60 km/h ceiling of the German T licence class.
When buying a used example of this size of four-wheel-drive tractor, the condition of the front axle together with its transfer case and joints matters most, along with the seals on hydraulic cylinders and connections. Corrosion on the wings and radiator frame, play in the steering, and the operation of the PTO clutch all belong on the checklist, as does the availability of spare parts for the coolant pump and injection pump, which are no longer sold new across the board for a series this old.
