Landini 60 Series – tractors from Fabbrico, 5860 to 8860 in two-wheel-drive and DT four-wheel-drive form, three- and four-cylinder engines from 2.5 to 4.1 litres, 35 to 59 kW
Landini built the 60 Series at its Fabbrico plant in Emilia-Romagna; the four models 5860, R-6860, R-7860 and R-8860 are each available in a standard version and with the DT suffix for four-wheel drive. The smaller models run three-cylinder engines, the larger ones four-cylinders. Landini traces back to the company founded by Giovanni Landini in Fabbrico in 1884, making it one of the oldest tractor makers in Italy.

Landini is among the oldest Italian tractor makers and has for decades been part of the SAME Group, later the SDF Group; the 60 Series occupied the mid-to-upper power segment for arable and mixed farms in Italy and for export. Since being taken over by SAME in the 1960s, Landini has shared engine and transmission technology with the sister brands of the later SDF Group.
When buying used, check the hours and service history of the three- or four-cylinder, the condition of clutch and gearbox, the tightness of the hydraulics, and on DT versions the drive hub and front axle. Parts run through the SDF Group dealer network. as well as the brakes, steering and front-axle bearings.
