The 950 DT is powered by a water-cooled four-cylinder diesel engine of 4,000 cc, producing 95 hp (69.8 kW) at 2,500 rpm. At a kerb weight of 4,280 kg it measures 3,785 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width and 2,695 mm in height, on a 2,373 mm wheelbase; top speed is 40 km/h.
A water-cooled four-cylinder of four litres combined with four-wheel drive suits tillage on medium to larger areas, mowing and haulage with full trailers; Italian makers use DT for doppia trazione, meaning four-wheel drive, which improves traction on wet grassland and gentle slopes. At a rated speed of 2,500 rpm the engine runs in the upper range typical for four-cylinder units of this size.
When buying a used water-cooled four-wheel-drive Lamborghini from this series, the radiator, water pump and fan belt are among the first things to check, along with the front axle and four-wheel-drive joints for play. Gearbox and PTO should be tested under load. Parts for engine and drivetrain are usually still available through dealers specialising in Italian tractors.
