The early Lamborghini tractors of the Carioca range date from the company's first years of tractor production, when Ferruccio Lamborghini began building farm machinery amid the post-war boom of Italian agriculture, long before the brand became known for sports cars; they thus stand at the beginning of the company's history.

On a used purchase of these early petrol tractors, the condition of carburettor and ignition counts, pistons and cylinder liners, the clutch and the simple gearbox, and rust on sheet-metal parts and steering knuckles; parts for these rare early models must be sourced chiefly through vintage-tractor specialists and collector circles.
