Kontti Other models

The register lists 54 versions here with a kerb weight of 130 to 600 kg; the gross weight is uniformly 750 kg, while length ranges from 3,130 to 7,120 mm at widths of 1,510 to 2,220 mm.

With a gross weight of 750 kg throughout, all the Kontti models on this page stay within the class that can be towed on a standard car licence without a further test. The wide spread of length, from just over 3 m to more than 7 m at a constant gross weight, is typical of boat and multi-purpose trailers, where a light, long frame gives more load area at low kerb weight.

Buying a used Kontti trailer means checking the frame and skids for corrosion above all, especially on the long boat-trailer versions that regularly stand in water. Add to that the condition of the rollers or sliding skids, the winch, wheel bearings and tyres, and the coupling. Parts for axles, couplings and lighting are available through the general trailer accessory trade; frame and skid parts specific to the brand usually only through the manufacturer.
