The span from the 1.1-tonne trailer to the 24-tonne semi-trailer covers two quite different classes: the light trailer towable on an ordinary car licence and the heavy semi-trailer, towed in combination with a tractor unit and a category CE licence in long-haul transport. On the heavier versions, the recorded lengths also run to around eleven metres.
On a used example, the light version calls for checking axle and wheel-bearing condition and the function of the overrun brake, the heavy one frame and side rails for distortion and rust, the braking system, kingpin and landing legs; lighting, tyres and rims matter throughout. Parts for such small brands usually run through independent trailer and commercial-vehicle workshops.
