The four-cylinder diesel engine of 4,000 cc with combined water-oil cooling produces 103 hp (75.8 kW) at 2,500 rpm and 360 Nm of torque. At an unladen weight of 3,740 kilograms, a wheelbase of 2,320 millimetres and a width of 2,100 millimetres, the H-4105 ELITE is the heaviest of the Hürlimann series considered here.
With a design top speed of 40 km/h, the machine sits in the upper part of driving licence category T. Additional oil cooling alongside water cooling is typical of the more powerful diesel engines of that period, where water cooling of the block alone was no longer enough to keep oil temperature stable under sustained load.
When buying a tractor with additional oil cooling, the oil cooler itself and its connecting lines should be checked for tightness, since a fault here leads to engine damage faster than with water cooling alone. The condition of the clutch and hydraulic pump, and corrosion of load-bearing sheet-metal parts, should also be checked on a tractor now more than 30 years old. A complete service history is also valuable, as it shows how intensively the tractor has been used over more than three decades.
