The DM 10 from Huber & Wösner was built between 1955 and 1956 and belongs to the family of small, simple field tractors that numerous smaller German firms offered for farming in the 1950s, while larger manufacturers were already working on more powerful series. Such small firms met the demand of farms that could not, or did not want to, buy a larger tractor.

The air-cooled single-cylinder diesel engine of 660 cc delivers 10 hp at 2,000 rpm. At a weight of 600 kg, a length of 3,100 mm, a height of 1,000 mm and a width of 1,450 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,000 mm, the DM 10 reaches a top speed of 15 km/h.
Air cooling made the engine largely immune to frost and did away with coolant, a radiator and a water pump as possible sources of wear. The low build height of 1,000 mm combined with a notably long wheelbase of 2,000 mm points to a machine built for small and medium-sized farms, suited to basic tillage and driving simple mounted implements such as mowers or small trailers.
When buying such an old and rare model, the condition of the cooling fins on the cylinder, compression and starting behaviour of the single-cylinder diesel, and rust on the frame and sheet-metal parts all matter. The clutch and gearbox should also be checked for wear. Spare parts for such a small 1950s manufacturer can now practically only be found through collectors of historic agricultural machinery.
