This page gathers the Hesston balers the register could not assign to a named range – from three-digit models such as 730, 745, 814 and 955 through the four-digit round balers of the 4000 and 5000 series (4690N, 4910, 5134, 5545) to the big square balers of the 7000 series (7105 to 7444). Hesston Corporation was founded in 1955 in the town of Hesston, Kansas, and built haying equipment there; from the late 1970s Fiat held a stake in the company, and in 1991 the newly formed AGCO Corporation acquired the brand, which has belonged to the AGCO group ever since. The Auto-Cycle suffix on the 946 and 956 models denotes an automated cycle control of the baler.

The register lists here 28 versions with unladen weights from 1,224 to 10,315 kg, lengths from 3,360 to 9,910 mm and heights from 1,650 to 3,680 mm.

Hesston is one of the long-established names in American haying equipment and was among the first brands to offer round balers on a larger scale in the 1970s; under AGCO the brand still trades independently for balers and mower-conditioners, alongside Massey Ferguson and Challenger as the group's third label. The 7000-series big square balers compete with the models of Case IH, John Deere and Claas.

When buying used, what matters on the round balers is the condition of the belts and roller bearings, on the big square balers the plunger, connecting-rod bearings and knotter, plus pickup tines, cutting unit and tyres; spares for the older models now run through the AGCO parts network.
