The D 7506 Allzweck is powered by a water-cooled multi-fuel single-cylinder engine of 4,767 cc, producing 25 hp, or 18.3 kW, at 850 rpm. At a weight of 2,880 kg, a length of 2,980 mm, a height of 2,177 mm and a width of 1,670 mm, with a wheelbase of 1,755 mm, the machine is a medium-weight tractor whose top speed of 17.7 km/h also allowed for shorter road journeys.

The multi-fuel hot-bulb engine could run, depending on availability, on crude oil, diesel fuel and similar heavy fuels, which made the Lanz Bulldog especially practical in times of scarce or changing fuel supply. A tractor of this design was built for tillage, driving mounted implements through the pto shaft and versatile all-purpose use, as the model name suggests.

When buying a D 7506 Allzweck, the condition of the hot bulb and its preheating device matters, along with the radiator and coolant hoses of the single-cylinder engine. Also worth checking are the clutch and gearbox for wear noises and the brakes; parts for this widely produced Lanz Bulldog of these years are still readily available from specialist suppliers.
