The register lists here 14 versions with unladen weights from 460 to 2,740 kg, gross weights from 1,200 to 3,500 kg and widths from 1,970 to 2,500 mm.

Trailers of this class are common in trades, landscaping and among private users for carrying building materials, machinery or equipment; at gross weights up to 3.5 t they can generally still be towed on an ordinary category B car licence, provided the combined weight of the outfit is respected. The span from 1.2 to 3.5 t covers both light single-axle and heavier tandem-axle trailers.

When buying a used Heco trailer, what counts is the condition of the overrun brake and brake linings, play and corrosion at the axle and wheel bearings, the condition of the load floor and side panels, and rust on the chassis, especially around the drawbar and coupling. Lighting, the number-plate holder and the match between the chassis number and the papers also belong in the inspection; spare parts for axles, brakes and lighting are usually easy to find at trailer workshops.
