Hattat Universal – other models: Turkish compact tractors from Çerkezköy outside the named ranges, 453 to 683 DT, 34 to 50 kW, UTB diesel engines from Romania
This page gathers the Hattat Universal tractors the register could not assign to a named range. Hattat is a Turkish farm-machinery maker headquartered and manufacturing in Çerkezköy in Tekirdağ province; the Universal range spans the compact 453 through the narrower 453 Garden orchard version to the larger 643, 643 DT, 683 and 683 DT types. The engines of all seven listed models come from UTB, the Romanian engine plant Uzina Tractorul Braşov, which has supplied diesel engines to tractor makers across south-eastern Europe for decades.

The register lists here 7 versions with 34 to 50 kW (45 to 68 hp) from three- and four-cylinder UTB diesel engines.
Alongside Başak and Türk Traktör, Hattat is one of the established Turkish tractor makers, and with the Universal range it serves mainly the domestic market for smaller and medium farms in the Marmara region, where compact, robust tractors with simple, easily serviced technology are in demand.
When buying used, on the UTB engines check the condition of the injection pump and piston rings, as parts outside Turkey and Romania are only available to a limited extent; also check the PTO, hydraulic pump and three-point linkage for wear, inspect tyres and brakes, and look for rust damage on wings and chassis.
