GERMANIA Other models

The register lists here 21 versions with unladen weights from 380 to 1,060 kg, gross weights from 1,200 to 2,800 kg and widths from 1,800 to 2,450 mm.

The Animal model family points to the main purpose of these trailers: transporting cattle and other livestock, for which enclosed or part-enclosed bodies with ventilation, a non-slip floor and adequate headroom are needed. The weight class up to 2.8 tonnes gross weight corresponds to trailers for one or two large animals or a correspondingly larger number of smaller ones. Access on livestock trailers of this size is usually through a rear loading flap that doubles as a ramp.

On a used livestock trailer, the condition of the floor (corrosion and moisture under the rubber mat), the ventilation, the partitions and their latches, the axle, suspension and brakes, and the frame and drawbar for corrosion all count in particular, along with the function of the loading flap and its latch.
