With an unladen weight of 3,220 kg, payload comes to 12,780 kg, roughly four-fifths of the gross weight – an unusually high payload for its weight class on such a short area, given a length of only 6.95 m and a width of 2.45 m. The trailer runs on four wheels, that is a tandem axle, with a 2.95 m wheelbase.

This combination of short length, low unladen weight and high payload points to a compact heavy-duty trailer for dense, concentrated loads rather than a volume vehicle. Class O4 trailers run with air brakes; towing it as a combination requires driving licence category CE in the EU, plus a professional driver qualification for commercial use.

For a compact heavy-duty trailer nearly 50 years old, check the frame for deformation caused by concentrated heavy loads, especially around the tandem axle. Check axle bearings, brake drums and brake linkage for wear, check the air lines for leaks at the coupling heads, and check the lighting system for up-to-date retrofitting. Given the narrow 2.45 m width, also check that the tyres are rated for the high axle load, and inspect the load floor for deformation from decades of concentrated cargo.
