The register lists 5 versions with a kerb weight of 550 to 1,440 kg and a permissible gross weight of 2,600 to 3,500 kg. Widths range from 1.73 to 2.40 m.

With gross weights of up to 3,500 kg, the GAB trailers fall into the class of braked car trailers that can be towed with ordinary vehicles and a standard driving licence. The comparatively low kerb weight combined with usable payload makes the series suitable for private and small commercial transport. The kerb-weight span of 550 to 1,440 kg shows that the series covers both very light single-axle trailers and somewhat heavier tandem-axle versions, all still within the class of up to 3,500 kg.

When buying used, check the frame and load platform for corrosion and deformation, particularly at the mounting points for the sides and drawbar. The overrun brake, brake linings, axle bearings and tyres should be checked, along with the operation of lighting and the coupling. Spare parts for axles, lighting and the coupling are available through the general accessories trade. It is also worth checking the drawbar and jockey wheel, which see the most wear from frequent manoeuvring.
