Compact tractors of this power class serve smaller and medium-sized farms, orchards and market gardening, viticulture and municipal use worldwide, where manoeuvrability and an affordable purchase price count for more than high drawbar power. In recent years Chinese makers such as Fumetsu have increasingly positioned themselves in this segment in Europe, Africa and South America too, as a low-cost alternative to established brands.

Buying used compact tractors of this class calls for checking the clutch and gearbox, the tightness of the hydraulics and, on the smaller models, wear on the PTO and tyres. Parts supply outside China depends heavily on the relevant importer and should be checked before buying, as should the availability of workshops experienced with the brand.
