This page gathers the Freightliner vehicles the register could not assign to a named range – from the classic bonneted FLC Classic through the forward-control FL range and the long-haul Business Class and Century Class to the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter sold in North America under the Freightliner brand. Freightliner was founded in 1942 as the commercial-vehicle arm of the haulier Consolidated Freightways in Portland, Oregon, and has belonged to Daimler, today Daimler Truck, since the 1981 takeover; the brand has been market leader in heavy trucks in the US for decades. The subsidiary Thomas Built Buses, part of the same group since 1998, supplies school buses on Freightliner chassis.
