Ford Umpikorinen (BB)

Umpikorinen (BB) is a class from the Finnish Traficom registration register for vehicles with a closed box body; this page gathers the Fords registered this way, whose model names in the register are now distinguished only by axle count and engine displacement. The abbreviation ov marks axles, the digit before it their number, the letter A following it the more powerful engine variant; the wide span from just under 1,000 to 3,300 cm³ shows that very different Ford ranges converge under this class, from the small Fiesta- or Escort-based van to the Transit with larger diesel engines. What all vehicles in this class share is a windowless load area without a rear bench, distinguishing them from the open or glazed passenger versions of the same models.
