Fiatagri 50-86: water-cooled three-cylinder diesel tractor from the 86 series, 33 kW and 1,800 kg weight, built 1994 to 2002
Fiatagri was the agricultural machinery brand of the Italian Fiat group, under which the tractor division operated independently from the 1970s before being absorbed into New Holland in the 1990s. The 86 series belonged to the brand's smaller to medium-sized general-purpose tractors. The 50-86 from this series was built from 1994 to 2002.

The 50-86 is powered by a water-cooled three-cylinder diesel engine producing 43 hp, or 33 kW, at a weight of 1,800 kg. A three-cylinder engine of this power class sits between the smallest compact tractors with one or two cylinders and the larger four- and six-cylinder tractors used for large-scale field work; the comparatively low weight makes the 50-86 a relatively light example of its power class.
A three-cylinder diesel engine of around 33 kW was, in the 1990s, a common drivetrain for general-purpose tractors in the lower to medium power range, suited to tillage with lighter implements, mowing, transport work and driving mounted implements through the power take-off. The low weight aids manoeuvrability in confined spaces but calls for additional ballast on heavy drawbar work to provide enough traction at the wheels.
When buying a Fiatagri 50-86 secondhand, the condition of the cooling system, particularly the radiator and water pump of the water-cooled three-cylinder engine, and wear in the clutch and gearbox matter most. Also worth checking are the brakes and, if fitted, the hydraulic system for mounted implements; spare parts for this common series are usually readily available on the open market.
