Fendt Dieselross F25A (1950–1952): early two-cylinder farm tractor with a 2,360 cm³ diesel engine, 25 hp, or 18.39 kW, and a weight of 1,900 kg
Dieselross was the name under which Fendt, built in Marktoberdorf, Bavaria, sold its early tractors – the word combined Diesel with Ross, the German word for horse, the animal the new machine was meant to replace on the farm. The F25A from this range was built from 1950 to 1952.

The Fendt Dieselross F25A carries a two-cylinder diesel engine with 2,360 cm³ of displacement, producing 25 hp, or 18.39 kW. At 1,900 kg, 2,840 mm long, 1,600 mm high, 1,645 mm wide and with a 1,840 mm wheelbase, the machine reaches a top speed of 25.3 km/h.
At 25 hp and just under 1,900 kg, the F25A belongs to the light class of post-war farm tractors that replaced horses on medium and smaller farms in the 1950s. The roughly 25 km/h design top speed falls under German driving licence class L.
When buying such an old two-cylinder tractor used, the condition of the injection pump and the cylinders matters, as spare parts for engines of this age are scarce and sometimes available only used or remanufactured. Also worth checking are the frame and axles for rust and cracking, and the function of the mechanical brakes, often reworked on vehicles of this build year. On a vehicle of this age, the condition of the tyres and the lighting system is also worth checking closely, along with the wear of the clutch disc.
