The water-cooled diesel engine produces 30 hp (22 kW). The TR 130 is fitted with mechanical front-wheel drive (MFWD), in which the front axle can be driven through a transfer gearbox in addition to the driven rear axle, considerably improving traction on loose or wet ground.
