With gross weights of up to 51 tonnes and lengths of almost 20 metres, the range counts among the heaviest and largest trailer types in the register and is clearly positioned in the field of low-loaders and semi-trailers for heavy haulage, far outside the classes for car trailers.

When buying used, what matters most in this trailer class is the condition of the axle units and brake system, corrosion on the frame and side members, the function of the hydraulics for ramps or a lowering load bed, and the condition of the kingpin and trailer coupling. Given the high permitted gross weight, the inspection plates and the associated inspection records should also be checked before purchase, along with the number and condition of the tyres on each axle unit.
