Cummins B6.7

The number in the name is the output in hp; appended codes such as H, EV, ST or HTS mark torque curves and calibrations. The register lists 24 versions with 195 to 360 hp at 2,400 to 2,800 rpm and 520 to 800 lb-ft (705 to 1,085 Nm) of torque between 1,600 and 1,800 rpm; all with 6,700 cm³, direct injection and turbocharging, certified for model years 2017 to 2026, with 'Vocational' – bodied trucks – as the predominant application.

The same engine runs at Peterbilt and Kenworth under the name Paccar PX-7 and in Cummins' own off-highway programmes as the QSB6.7 or B6.7 Stage V for construction and agricultural machinery – the parts kinship spans road, site and field.

On used engines the condition of the aftertreatment, the injectors where fuel quality was poor and the service history count; with a well-kept EGR the engine is regarded as robust, and thanks to its spread parts are cheap and plentiful.
