Cockshutt Farm Equipment of Brantford, Ontario, was one of the traditional Canadian farm-machinery makers, whose combine harvesters the register lists on this page outside the named ranges. The type range runs from the smaller threshers 430, 525, 535 and 542 through the 545 to the larger 5542 and 7300; the model numbers follow no consistent system but essentially mark successive sizes and model years. As engines the register lists Chrysler industrial engines and Perkins diesels, all of them diesel-powered.

The register lists here 7 versions with 62 to 86 kW, or 83 to 115 hp.

Cockshutt served chiefly the Canadian and partly the US market from the 1940s into the 1960s, before the company was taken over by the White Motor Corporation in 1962 and the brand merged into the White line-up in the following years.

For a used purchase of these older combines, check the condition of the threshing and shaker mechanisms, sieves and cleaning fan, corrosion on the grain tank and sheet-metal parts, the condition of the fuel system and cylinder head on the Chrysler or Perkins engines, and the availability of spare parts, today found mainly among collectors and specialist dealers. Given the age of these machines, the availability of original drive belts and chains also matters, since with no factory parts left they often now have to be replaced with custom-fitted substitutes.
