The Claas Xerion is built at the Harsewinkel plant and forms the manufacturer's largest tractor range, with four equal-sized wheels, a cab that can turn 180 degrees, and the ability to couple the vehicle to semi-trailers like a road tractor unit. The Xerion 12 generation represents the most powerful versions currently built in the range, represented here by the Xerion 12.540 and 12.590 types, whose number sequence gives the power class in metric horsepower.

With this power class and the weight of a heavy construction machine, the Xerion 12 sits at the top of the tractor market and competes with the largest versions from Fendt, John Deere and Case IH; its saddle-tractor concept also opens up uses in slurry, earth and road haulage that remain closed to conventional farm tractors.
