The two types, the 254 and 454, differ noticeably in power class, so the 454 Nacional offers more reserve for heavier implements and larger trailers than the 254 Nacional.

On used examples, engine condition and compression, clutch and gearbox, and hydraulic pump and cylinders all matter; as Jinma tractors are sold in various countries under changing local designations, the actual origin of spare parts and the local service structure should be clarified before buying.
