This page gathers Berliet trucks the register could not assign to a named range: the GLM and GR/TR series, the 4x4 GBK 18 truck, and types such as the T100, the 610 K6 and the 130 B series. Berliet was founded in 1899 by Marius Berliet in Lyon and grew into one of France's leading truck makers. In 1978 Berliet was absorbed into the newly formed Renault commercial-vehicle division Renault Véhicules Industriels, which later became Renault Trucks.

The types on this page date mostly from the post-war period into the 1970s, when Berliet, with robust chassis for long-haul, construction and off-road use, ranked alongside Renault, Saviem and Unic among the defining names of French truck building, before the brand was absorbed into the Renault group. These chassis typically carried tipper, flatbed or tanker bodies for construction, quarrying and agricultural transport, reflecting the heavy end of France's domestic haulage market in the postwar decades.

Buying used, these historic chassis need checking for rust on the frame and axle mounts, the condition of the braking system and clutch, and the availability of engine and gearbox parts, which after the end of independent production are mostly found only through specialist vintage parts dealers. Particular attention should go to the air or vacuum brake system fitted to these prewar-to-1970s designs, whose components can differ considerably between individual model years.
