BCS – other models: the collective page of Italian specialist tractors outside the named ranges, from Valiant and Vithar to Volcan and Vivid, 18 to 69 kW, VM and Lombardini diesel engines
This page gathers the BCS tractors the register could not assign to a named range – models from the Invictus, Sycar, System, Valiant, Vanguard System, Victor, Vithar, Vivid and Volcan lines. BCS is an Italian manufacturer from Lombardy, originally known for single-axle tillers and walking tractors for smallholdings, market gardens and vineyards, which extended its range with compact, mostly narrow-track specialist tractors for row crops and sloped terrain. The model names combine the range name with the power class in hp, supplemented by codes for chassis and equipment. The machines are powered throughout by Italian diesel engines from VM Motori of Cento and Lombardini (today Kohler Engines) of Reggio Emilia.

With these ranges BCS serves a niche between the walking tractor and the standard tractor: narrow, manoeuvrable machines for vineyards, orchards and amenity grounds, where conventional tractors cannot work because of track width or turning circle. Sales concentrate on Italy and other wine-growing regions of Europe, where row spacing and slope dictate machine size.
On used examples of these specialist tractors, the condition of the steering and the articulation joint or oscillating axle, the tightness of the implement hydraulics, the condition of the VM or Lombardini engine and clutch, rust on frame and mudguards after work in damp vineyards, and the availability of implements for the narrow track count; parts run through BCS dealers and directly through the engine makers.
