The engine is an air-cooled four-cylinder diesel of 2,696 cm³ producing 44 kW (60 hp) at 3,000 rpm, with four-wheel drive and tyres sized 12.4-24 and 11-24 on the front and rear axles. The design top speed is 24.5 km/h.
An air-cooled four-cylinder with four-wheel drive and equally sized tyres front and rear belongs to a time when air cooling was still common alongside water cooling on smaller and medium farm tractors, since it needed no cooling water or antifreeze. The equally sized tyres front and rear also provide an even distribution of force across both axles. At a speed of barely 25 km/h, the tractor was built for classic fieldwork rather than road transport at higher speed.
On a vehicle of this age, what matters most is the condition of the air-cooled engine with its cooling fan and cylinder heads, rust on sheet-metal and frame parts, the condition of the four-wheel-drive clutch, and the tyres in the sizes given, which are no longer available everywhere today. Equally important is checking the fuel lines and seals, which can become porous after decades. Spare parts for a model of this age are only available to a limited extent through specialist dealers.
