The MF 5700 series positions itself at Massey Ferguson as a mid-range utility tractor line between the compact and the large ranges, for mixed operations with field work, transport and front-loader use. The brand has belonged to the AGCO group since 1994 and builds its larger tractor ranges at its Beauvais plant in France.

The MF 5713 is powered by a four-cylinder diesel engine of 4,400 cm³ displacement, delivering 130 hp or 100 kW at a rated speed of 2,300 rpm, and runs on diesel with AdBlue. With the Dyna4 or Dyna6 gearbox, 420/85 R 38 tyres fitted at the rear, and an unladen weight of 4,800 kg, the machine reaches a design top speed of 40 km/h.
The optional Dyna4 or Dyna6 automatic allows powershift gear changes without a clutch pedal and matches the gear choice to the task at hand, from front-loader work in the yard to road transport. At a top speed of 40 km/h the MF 5713 falls into the German T licence class, and the AdBlue technology corresponds to a more recent emissions stage than purely mechanically governed predecessor engines.
When buying used, the function of the Dyna powershift matters, recognisable by smooth, jerk-free changes under load, as does the condition of the AdBlue system including tank and dosing unit. The 420/85 R 38 rear tyres should be checked for even wear, as should the front-loader mounting, where fitted.
