The Zetor 7441 belongs to the Tractors group and was manufactured by Zetor. It is equipped with a 4‑cylinder engine of 4,156 cm³ displacement delivering 72 HP (53 kW) at a rated speed of 2,200 rpm. The maximum torque is 306 Nm. Overall dimensions are 1,990 mm in width and 2,675 mm in height, and the fuel tank holds 120 l. The transmission is offered in several versions, including 20 V/4 R, 10 V/2 R and 12 V/12 R, while the power take‑off can run at 540 rpm or 1,000 rpm. The lift capacity falls into categories Cat I/II.

With 72 HP the 7441 can handle field tasks such as plowing, harrowing and moving medium‑size loads. A torque of 306 Nm provides sufficient pulling force at low speeds, which is advantageous when operating heavy implements. The relatively large 120 l tank allows extended operation periods without frequent refuelling, and the multiple gearbox options give flexible speed ranges suited to varying working conditions.

The Zetor 7441 is suited for typical applications of mid‑size tractors. It is commonly used for general field work, transport of harvested material and driving attachments that require comparable power and weight characteristics.

Zetor — where the name comes from and how the ranges connect, models from 11 to 120 kW, engines including Caterpillar, Perkins, Zetor and Deutz

The brand name is a compound: the "Z" of the Brno arms factory Zbrojovka and the ending "-tor". It was there, in March 1946, that the first three Z 25 tractors left the line — an eightieth anniversary in 2026.

Order among the many Zetor types came in the 1960s with the unified UR I and UR II ranges. They brought more modern engineering and, above all, shared central components — the reason parts can be swapped across model boundaries. In the late 1960s the UR II joined the programme, designed for stronger machines and more demanding work.

Those lines still run today. The UR II range was revised and reached the market in 1998 as the Zetor Forterra. Around the turn of the millennium came the Proxima and Forterra ranges together with the modernised Major and Crystal — the generation carrying the brand through its recent history.

Anyone assessing an older model should therefore identify the base range first. A tractor from the UR II family is technically related to the Forterra, even with decades between them. That kinship decides how readily parts can be found — with a brand spanning eighty years of models, that is the most practical question of all.

Across the whole power range gathered here, 11 to 120 kW, the ISO 730 three-point linkage spans Category 0 on the smallest post-war models to Category II on the stronger series; the 540 rpm PTO speed remained, across the decades, the unchanged common denominator of every Zetor generation.

What to check before buying

  • Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
  • Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
  • Shift the gearbox cold and warm — jumps only show up at temperature.
  • Load the hydraulics and watch for sag.
  • Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
