Volvo G60 to G736 — two number blocks, two grader generations
This bucket brings together several generations of Volvo graders. With its 2001 launch, Volvo introduced an entirely new lineup that, according to the manufacturer, spanned the 5,800-kilogram G60/G66 up to the 19,340-kilogram G780. A revised 700-series arrived in 2002 with the “B” suffix and Volvo's own engines, while a separate new 900-series followed in 2006 at 15,560 to 21,000 kilograms and 145 to 198 kW.

The first number block therefore separates size classes: G6x/G8x mark the original 2001 generation, G7xx the mid-size line, G9xx the large, tandem-drive models. The “B” suffix marks the second generation, “C” from 2012 denotes Tier 4 engines, and “VHP” marks a higher-output variant on the same chassis.
