The T190 is powered by a six-cylinder SISU diesel engine of 7,365 cm³ displacement, delivering 155 kW (189 hp). At a permissible gross weight of 11,000 kg, an unladen weight of 5,950 kg and a length of 5,148 mm, the tractor was one of the stronger standard tractors of its time in Valtra's line-up.
Large six-cylinder tractors of this power class pull wide cultivation equipment on the three-point linkage to ISO 730 and drive heavy trailers and harvesting machinery through the 540 or 1,000 rpm power take-off, with a payload reserve of roughly 5,000 kg over the unladen weight allowing extra ballast.
On a used T190, it is worth checking the SISU six-cylinder engine for oil consumption and compression, as well as the injection system for wear. The hydraulic pump should also be checked for loss of output given the intensive use typical of this power class. Hoses and lines should also be checked for material fatigue after so many years of service. A test drive and a check of every lever and control also belong to a thorough inspection.
