Torpedo TD: from Rijeka's torpedo factory to tractor maker
The Torpedo factory in Rijeka, Croatia, was founded back in 1853 as a metal foundry and later became the world's first torpedo factory. After the last torpedo was built in 1966, the plant switched to diesel engines, signed a contract with Deutz-Fahr in 1975 for water-cooled diesel engines, and developed its own tractors from 1985.
