The Tadano Demag Octoplus 30 is listed in the register as a crane of the Tadano Demag brand. Tadano Demag GmbH is based in Zweibrücken, belongs to the Japanese Tadano group and builds vehicle cranes with lifting capacities of up to 1,600 tonnes; Tadano took over Demag's mobile crane business from Terex.
With vehicle cranes of this brand the load chart decides suitability: it assigns a permitted load to every radius and boom position. The number in a type name usually indicates the size class for cranes but never replaces the load chart of the individual vehicle. Axle loads, outrigger base and equipment with a jib for road transport and site use also matter.
The Tadano range includes, besides mobile cranes, the pick-and-carry cranes of the Valla series, which lift and travel without outriggers. Choosing between the two types depends mainly on lifting height, radius and available space.
Tadano Demag cranes – other models: mobile cranes of the E series and rough-terrain cranes of the GR series from Zweibrücken, under Tadano since 2019, capacity class as the model number
This page gathers the Tadano Demag cranes the register could not assign to a named range: mobile telescopic cranes of the E series, where the number in the designation states the lifting-capacity class in tonnes, plus rough-terrain cranes, crawler cranes and aerial platforms from the same plant. The plant in Zweibrücken in the Palatinate built mobile cranes first as Mannesmann Demag, later as Terex-Demag; in 2019 the Japanese crane maker Tadano acquired the plant and the brand rights to Demag Mobile Cranes and has run it since as Tadano Demag, alongside Tadano's own GR range of rough-terrain cranes.

The register lists here 42 versions, from compact cranes of the 18E and 25E class through large telescopic cranes of the 220SE and 250EC class to rough-terrain cranes of the GR series and aerial platforms.
Mobile cranes of this range are used on building sites, in plant construction and for assembly work, where depending on lifting capacity and reach the choice is between compact city cranes and large cranes for industrial assembly; Zweibrücken, alongside the plants in Japan, ranks among the Tadano group's key production sites for Europe.
On used examples, operating hours and the condition of the engine and hydraulic pumps, wear on the telescopic boom and cable winches, the condition of the outriggers, and the current inspection certificate under the respective national crane regulations all matter; spare parts and servicing run through the Tadano Demag dealer network.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Load the hydraulics and watch for sag.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
