The Sonalika Solis 26 is a small three-cylinder tractor from the Indian maker Sonalika, sold under the Solis brand name in Europe and other markets. Sonalika belongs to International Tractors Limited, is based in Hoshiarpur in the state of Punjab and built the Solis 26 from 2013 to 2023. The model became very popular in Europe.

The engine displaces 1,319 cm³ and delivers 26 PS (19 kW) at a rated 2,500 rpm, with torque of 76 Nm. For grounds care, mowing, small grassland areas and front-loader work in fruit growing and horticulture that is a sensible layout. The gearbox is offered with 6 forward and 2 reverse gears or with 9 forward and 9 reverse gears, so buyers can choose between plain and finely graded shifting. At 2,760 mm long with a 1,560 mm wheelbase the tractor is very compact and fits through small gates and greenhouse aisles.

In the Sonalika and Solis range the 26 stands at the lower end of the power scale and serves as an inexpensive entry for hobby farmers, horse yards, gardeners and municipalities seeking a small towing vehicle for maintenance and haulage jobs.

The engines come from ITL/Sonalika's own production.

The register lists 8 versions with 19 to 67 kW (26 to 90 hp) from three- and four-cylinder diesel engines of 1,319 to 4,085 cm³ displacement at 2,200 to 2,500 rpm. Lengths range from 2,760 to 4,285 mm.

Sonalika ranks among India's largest tractor makers and exports under the SOLIS brand to numerous countries in Africa, Europe and South America; the models on this page span a wide field from the compact yard tractor to the more powerful field tractor. Within India the DI and Montana types dominate on small and medium farms, while SOLIS competes abroad mainly against other budget Asian brands.

When buying used, check clutch and gearbox on the small types, injection pump and cooling system on the larger SOLIS models, and on all versions rust on body panels and the condition of the hydraulics; parts run through the Sonalika/ITL and SOLIS distribution network.

What to check before buying

  • Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
  • Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
  • Shift the gearbox cold and warm — jumps only show up at temperature.
  • Load the hydraulics and watch for sag.
  • Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
