Sisu Auto, based in Kankaanpää in Finland and descended from the state-owned Suomen Autoteollisuus founded in 1931, builds heavy, often multi-axle trucks for forestry, construction and the Finnish military; the name Sisu is Finnish for grit and perseverance. The DK16M type family covers axle configurations from 6x2 and 6x4 through 8x2 and 8x4 to the ten-wheel 10x4, as the model list shows.
