SAME Dorado (since 1998) – the utility tractor from Treviglio: Dorado 55 to 105, Natural and Classic as equipment lines, 3.80 as the new notation, DT for four-wheel drive, SDF three- and four-cylinders, 40 to 69 kW
The Dorado is SAME's tractor for the small and medium farm – the 55 to 105 hp class where grassland, loader work and specialty crops come together – built since 1998 in Treviglio near Bergamo, the home plant of the SDF group. The type logic: the number roughly gives the output in hp – Dorado 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 85, 95 and 105 – DT stands for Doppia Trazione, four-wheel drive, the suffixes for equipment lines: Natural for the plain base specification, Classic for the version with mechanical shuttle, Dorado 90.4 for the four-cylinder in the newer notation, Dorado 3.80 for the generation from the 2010s, where the first digit gives the cylinder count and the second the hp. The engines are SDF's own three- and four-cylinders of 3 and 4 litres, water-cooled and with common rail on the younger models.

The register lists 19 versions with 40 to 69 kW (56 to 70 hp where output is recorded), 3,000 to 4,001 cm³ with three or four cylinders, torque from 189 to 310 Nm at 2,350 rpm, unladen weights from 2,570 to 3,000 kg, gross weights up to 5,000 kg, lengths from 3,430 to 4,440 mm, widths from 1,790 to 2,070 mm and heights from 2,400 to 2,440 mm; the rear linkage lifts 3,600 kg.
The Dorado is the best-selling SAME and runs as a sister model at Deutz-Fahr as the Agroplus and at Lamborghini as the Crono; the combination of low height, shuttle and simple technology makes it the farmyard tractor of southern Europe.
On used tractors, operating hours, engine condition, shuttle and clutch, hydraulics and loader mounting and the front axle on DT models count; parts run through SDF dealers.
