Roadless Ploughmaster – the four-wheel-drive conversions from Hounslow on a Ford basis, Ploughmaster 65 to 90, four- and six-cylinder Ford diesels, 57 to 58 kW
Roadless Traction of Hounslow, near London, specialised in converting standard tractors to four-wheel drive and, for the Ploughmaster range, fitted its own driven front axle to Ford chassis and engines. The number in the type designation gives the power class in hp – the Ploughmaster 65, based on the Ford 5000, with about 65 hp, the Ploughmaster 90 with a six-cylinder of about 90 hp – 6/4 denoting an earlier version with six forward and four reverse gears; the conversions kept the standard tractor's engine, gearbox and cab and added Roadless's own four-wheel-drive technology.

With its four-wheel-drive conversion, Roadless served a niche between the standard two-wheel drive of Ford tractors and the competition's factory four-wheel-drive models, above all for work on heavy or sloping grassland in Britain and Ireland.
