The Trafic started in 1980 as Renault's medium-sized van and, from the second generation (2001) onward, has been built in cooperation with Nissan (badged Primastar) and General Motors (badged Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro) at the shared plant in Luton (later also Sandouville/Sevel Nord); the third generation launched in 2014.
