Renault TRM 10000 – A French Military Truck Since 1985
The TRM 10000 was developed from 1985 out of the export-oriented 9-tonne TRM 9000 truck, with a longer wheelbase, revised transmission and a more powerful engine. Since 1987, the French armed forces have used the TRM 10000 both as a troop transport and for logistics duties. After an initial order of 178 vehicles, a second order for 759 units followed in 1987; production had originally been planned at 5,000 vehicles, but only around 1,000 were actually built. The truck has a six-cylinder MIDR 06.20.45 diesel engine, 6x6 drive for road, track and off-road use, a payload of 10,000 kilograms and a range of 1,200 kilometres.
