Renault RM42 T is a series of heavy trucks from the French maker Renault, which sells its heavy commercial vehicles under the Renault Trucks brand. Renault Trucks grew out of RVI (Renault Véhicules Industriels), founded in 1978 to merge the truck divisions of Berliet and Saviem, and has been part of the Swedish Volvo Group since 2001, with plants including Blainville-sur-Orne and Bourg-en-Bresse. The model suffixes R, T LOL, T MEEF, T MEL and T XLL denote individual equipment and chassis variants within the register.
