The register lists 8 versions here with 50 to 54 kW from four-cylinder engines of 1,248 to 1,400 cc, kerb weights from 1,090 to 1,307 kg, gross vehicle weights from 1,680 to 1,800 kg, lengths from 3,860 to 3,900 mm and widths from 1,680 to 2,020 mm.

The Bipper serves the small-van segment below the Partner/Expert, competes with models such as the Ford Fiesta Van, Fiat Fiorino or Renault Kangoo, and is found mainly with tradespeople, courier services and as an affordable fleet vehicle in the southern European market, particularly in France, Spain and Italy.

When buying used, what counts is rust on the sills, wheel arches and load floor, the condition of the HDi diesel particulate filter and injection system, wear on the sliding door and tailgate, and turbocharger mileage; since the Bipper is technically largely identical to the Citroën Nemo and Fiat Fiorino, parts supply is broadly secured across all three brands.

What to check before buying

  • Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
  • Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
  • Check the weights in the papers against the figures here — attachments change them.
  • Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
