The Primastar is Nissan's version of the mid-size van jointly developed by the Renault-Nissan alliance; identical sibling models are the second-generation Renault Trafic and the Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro. The series was built from 2001 at Renault's Sandouville plant in northern France. Model designations in the register combine wheelbase (L1, L2), roof height (H1, H2) and engine, with dCi denoting the common-rail engines developed jointly with Nissan's own diesel technology.
